• Eileen Murray maintains a full time art practice in a studio in Lethbridge AB.  She received a BFA with great distinction from the University of Lethbridge and holds an MFA in painting and photography from the University of Saskatchewan.

Moving from a farm on the flat prairies of south eastern Alberta to the coulees of Lethbridge, Eileen has expanded her long-time investigation into the ‘home’ to include the landscape in which one knows and loves. This move and the proximity to the mountains in which she grew up in has affected her color palette and linework in the most unexpected ways, and she is excited for landscape to begin seeping into her formal inquiry of ‘home’ while maintaining a curiosity of what makes a house a home, still life  and the qualities of the baroque including nostalgia, bravado and theatricality.
