Gallery Merrick was founded in 2018 by Joe Bembridge. After working in sales at the iconic Canada House Gallery in Banff, AB, Joe struck out on his own. After operating in beautiful downtown Nanaimo, BC for four years, Gallery Merrick moved to Victoria, BC, where a bright new 2000-square-foot space opened in April, 2022. 

Gallery Merrick represents Canadian artists who hold unique points of view. They create incredible 2D and 3D work including painting, encaustic, mixed media, collage, drawing and sculpture. Our artists are committed to their practice and have a well-developed sense of identity. Gallery Merrick provides an LGBTQ+ friendly space for emerging and established contemporary artists. Joe is especially passionate about fostering the careers of emerging artists and providing a showcase for established, working artists who dazzle collectors.
